B/O '71 Supra - $175 Shipped

Loading...

Here's a complete alloy Supraphonic players snare. Heavily pitted, but all original and complete. Date stamp January 1971, Anti-galvanic.

Try your hand at custom painting, or do what I did - attached are a couple of pictures of a 64 Supra that was pitted just as bad. A $45 dip-trip to the metal refinisher's, and then a couple of hours of wet sanding and polishing yielded this 'brushed' look. I'm happy with the way it turned out.

$175 shipped to US48.

Thanks for looking

John

I think at that price anyone looking for a 400 would be dumb to pass this by.

Got a semi-relevant question that I hope you or someone else can answer... what would you say is a fair price for a 402 in the same condition? PM if you'd prefer to keep it off your sale thread.

Good luck with your sale!

Zach

Bump - Plus another 'before dip' and 'after dip' picture. The top Supra is the one for sale - and it can look as good as the bottom one with just a little effort.

Thanks

John

A Few years back, I had a 6.5, that was heavily pitted worse than that one! I had it bead blasted and powder coated in yellow. The chrome was good, looked great done. Mellowed the brightness about 20%, very unique sounding drum.

Good deal there for someone!Yes Sir

BTW - that is a late Chicago badge...
