Because of my interest in Gretsch Centennials I have a permanent search going; consequently, I was able to prevent the same kit being sold five times in less than a year. The first sale was legitimate, but someone took all the photos and details and tried to use them over and again. First time it re-appeared I contacted the vendor and asked various technical questions not covered by the script, and he came up with a story about them not being his, selling them for a friend, etc. I contacted Ebay each time after that and they pulled the auction, but each version was a new vendor. On two other occasions I was contacted by buyers who had seen the kit elsewhere: Craiglist I suppose. I’m sure it must be going on all the time, and not just with drumkits. Caveat Emptor!
