Blaemire snare with Rogers hardware Last viewed: 3 minutes ago

Okay guys, I searched quite a bit, but I'm not very knowledgeable about Rogers hardware. I picked up this 6x14 Blaemire snare at the Chicago Show, and I want to know a little more about the hardware. My search came up with a Bantum throwoff, and I confirmed the muffler is also Rogers. I want to know what you call these lugs, and if the butt plate is also Rogers. I disassembled the whole drum, and the only thing it needs is one lug (broken boss). Thanks for any info.

Nice find Mendozart.

That butte plate looks like Rogers.

It should have "Rogers" embossed on the pinch plate.

I have 1 replacement import pinch plate that does not have the "Rogers"

on it.

Embossed? is that the right word? I don't think so.

Same lugs on my Powertone COB.

Don't know if they are called Beavertail snare lugs.

Gregg, nice find. Ya the lugs and butt look just like the ones on my Rogers Dynasonic. My drum has a big R badge on it with a serial number , D 965968. And the butt does say Rogers USA right on it.

Thank you!

Thanks guys. Any idea what year the hardware is from? Also, anyone have just one of these lugs available?

The lugs are called "Center Lugs"

I believe they are from the 60's,

when they went to the Beavertail design.

Got this from The Rogers Book.

Rob cook.

Strainer is a Bantum.

Never seen one before.

Thats sweet! Thats definitely rogers hardware. Those lugs are plentiful and common. you should have no problem finding another. These blaemire snares seem to come in all kinds of different configurations. I'm hoping to pic one up in the next day or so that has rogers dynasonic hoops but and snare throw, but nasty 70's pearl center lugs.lol. Was it expensive? I have no idea of the values of these..

Hey Scott, thanks for the info. I looked closer at the butt plate, and sure enough there is Rogers in small print. Everything is cleaning up nicely, I polished the BDP wrap and it's in great shape. There are only two tension rods that are slightly different. no biggie to me.

Eminent Destiny, I picked up the drum for $135, which was a great deal. Good luck in your quest, as these original Blaemire snares are gettin harder and harder to find. You could always just go get a Jenkins-Martin snare, who have recreated the Blaemire shell. PM me for any info on them.
