From dcass

It's deeper than 18x12. And there are standard grommets with no signs of tampering.

18 X 14 could have been a marcher, I think. That would explain its virginity, at least.

here is a link to my Twitter page. Just snapped a couple quick pics on lunch. Will provide updated pics for specific parts later. Btw I do have the original speed king too, along with the paiste 602 hh that came with it and the brass Ludwig cowbell

What I can see is this:

The wrap is not old. Its a reissued wrap. This is also likely the reason there is no badge and just a grommet

The hoops have been repainted

The lugs are Leedy. I believe the t-rods are, as well.

The bass drum spurs are newer Asian "Pearl-style" spurs

The legs on the floor tom are not vintage legs

The interior shot looks like a clear maple interior. I thought it might be a Ludwig 3-ply shell, but, if it is, it should be painted white-over-mahogany and the stamp should be in red ink with the day included in the date. If it's a Leedy shell, then I defer to the Leedy experts to say more about it and the date stamp.

It's definitely not a rare Ludwig kit. I can tell you that much.

The rims appear to be "sticksavers" -Slingerland thing

The floor tom mounting brackets look Asian-made

O-lugs, it's a slingerland leedy era shell, as are the lugs, and t-handles on the bass drum,

Those are Sticksaver hoops on the floor tom, the bearing edge on the one pic with the date stamp looks identical to my 68 Slingerland bass drum, and I don't know if its relevant but the screws holding the lugs on look just like ones on my Slingerland set too. I'd be inclined to agree its a Slinger-Leedy

Very good, you guys! I had seen those art deco style lugs on a Leedy drum in the past and thought they might have been "pure" Leedy. I'm foggy on the Slingerland/Leedy relationship. I just knew it was NOT a Ludwig and certainly not a rare Jazzette kit.

It appears to be a Slinger-Leedy rewrapped kit with some Asian extras. Probably sounds great. Not much collectible value at all.
