Hi Everyone - If anyone out there is considering a custom drum kit or snare, please read this before you buy.

I happened to stumble upon this web site by chance. Glad I did. I ordered a custom snare from Billy Blast - 15 ply Keller 10 lug Maple shell in Red Glass Glitter. Service was prompt and the drum is gorgeous - Only $340 including shipping from Orange, Ca. (I'm in Pa.) The reason I'm posting this under Vintage Drums is because I was looking for a snare to match my 1974 Red Sparkle Slingeland kit. I didn't want to go the ebay or GC route so I thought I'd take a shot here. The snare matches the kit perfectly and came with matching Slingerland style lugs. The heads are Bozzio Attack so no need to spend another $30 on decent heads.

It will take you an enjoyable half hour to go thru his web site. Fantastic workmanship at very reasonable prices. I have nothing against the big name custom drum companies out there, and they make some beautiful instruments, but you should check this web site out before you buy.
