Just wanted to give a big thank you to Nevin S!! I had posted a WTB ad for a Paiste hi hat to replace a cracked one I had. Nevin was so nice to send the EXACT cymbal I needed. Amazing~! It's beautiful and sounds great. And Nevin sent it as a gift! He wouldn't take a dime for anything. I can't express my thanks enough. Nevin is one of the truly wonderful people that hang here! I've had these hats a long time and it's so nice to have a good top cymbal again!! I'm a real happy guy. Off to play a bit.

I'm not surprised. It has been my experience that Nevin S. is one of the very nicest people you'll ever meet. It's always been a pleasure for me whenever I have had to deal with him.

Great story Glenn and the world should be filled with guys like Nevin.Glad you`ve got your 15" top hat back to workng condition again.I love my 15" hats so stop hitting those hats too hard Glenn,lol.

Thank you everyone~! I'm very happy to have good hats again. I love the 15's. This cymbal sounds far better than the other one that cracked ever did. They have a whole new vibe and feel. Perfect for my styles I like to play. Just fantastic!

Wayne yes indeed I'll be careful with these. My oldest son cracked the original back in his garage band days. They did a lot of Van Halen tunes!! So I put them in the cymbal bag for years until I got back into things again. Mike L suggested a oval shaped cut to save the cracked cymbal. I'll do that and use as a crash, splash or something.

were these the Ludwig paiste hats or am i remembering wrong? if they are, are they the three star logo or the shooting star logo?

Hi Mike... yes Ludwig Paiste hi hats with the 3 star logo. Swiss made. I looked at the Paiste timeline I think they were a 58-60 or 61 timeframe. Sorry about the blurry phone pic.

yeah man! ive got a set of 15 hats,a 22 ride and a splash with this logo. I love 'em. that's my understanding on the dates as well. my hats and ride are swiss made. my splash is german made and has a Chicago stamp on it too. got my hats here on the forum from ec Curtis at a very nice deal. take care of those! mine are super paper thin.
