Best way to ship Media Mail on drum magazines?

Loading...

I have a lot of drum books/magazines etc I want to sell, and I know Media Mail is the way to go..

Just wondering if there are special boxes I could use to ship?

Don't want to order a bunch from U-Line.com.

Staples-Walmart sells cardboard boxes. Or even your local printer shop-liquor-food stores normally will give you some free. You can cut one box and line the inside of the box your using. Place books/mags into a plastic bag for a moisture liner. Ship away.

Priority Flat rate might be a cheaper way to go actually. Media Mail is not much cheaper and takes FOREVER to get where its gotta go, much like Parcel Post. Check out the rates on the post office website. Boxes are free at the PO and like I said, the rates are pretty good. Might be better if its for a "customer" to send that way rather than slow media mail....

Thanks guys....

Media Mail might only be $3-5 though, while a Medium Flat Rate is around $12,isn't it? Lots of people are CHEAP when it comes to paying for shipping...

I had a patient who worked for the post office and said that media mail is cheaper but if the person does not accept the package or the address is wrong, you have to pay to have it shipped back to you. He said first class is a bit more in cost but it covers a lot more things in case something happens to your package.

First class only goes up to 4 OZ I think.............

I looked at LARGE Flat Rate boxes, and those should work............but need to check prices on those.............may be too much..........

The guy also said to just talk to the post office people and they can help you out. He was saying that most of the time they have deals and options that are not posted.
