Best set shipping method?

Loading...

I'm thinking that I need to lighten my load a little bit and may sell either a 3pc or 4pc set. Need to think long and hard about which one, but I'd like to get some advice on shipping methods, carrier, approximate cost? Multiple boxes? Do you nest any drums?

I've only shipped snares, just wondering...

Thanks in advance. Jim

Nesting whenever possible. I have even removed mounting hardware to allow nesting, then put the mounts in the center of the box. Pack heads and rims together.

USPS will be most costly. Other freight companies will be checked when you pack the boxes. I usually ask a seller for preferred company. Some buyers even have a company account to charge the shipping to that will cost them less then you walking in with packages.

Likely paying for Dimensional Freight for bd. That means they use a size measurement for cost instead of just total weight of a large box.

Check buslines (Greyhound, etc) they are the cheapest & most dependable.

I use fed ex cost a little more but i figure the least time it has in transit the least chance for damage and so far i have shipped 6 sets and zero damage..

I`ve had good luck with FedEx as well.

I may have to try greyhound in order to get these big 24" BD moved.

FedEx is the best by far - mentioned the buslines because they are the most cost efficient.
