I'm new to most of this buying and trading stuff on line. I have been REAL lucky finding vintage drums locally and have used E-Bay for parts and pieces. I have been a member of several other sites. I'm a Ghostnote member and I love to read and look at all the drums those guys build. I can't believe how talented some of those guys are. I went there to learn how to recover, rebuild, and rehab drums. I'd like to build some drums but I am really a vintage guy and I tried to be involved with the Dustsniffers part of GN. Billy Harrison and I have become friends through that site but not much going on there. I think he is on this site as well. Then I found you guys and for the vintage part of me this couldn't be better. I don't operate at the level that most of you do so I don't have all the pat answers about the "system" here. I do have a Pay Pal account and use it on E-Bay. I used it when I bought an Ayotte kit from a member here. I work kinda' slow (remember,I'm a drummer) and take my time deciding things. Like somebody said, my Moma raised me right and I'm from the midwest so I only know how to treat people like I want to be treated. I'm Boscoe most places on the web (squireallan on E-Bay) but my real name is Squire Allan Banfield, I've worked at Indiana State University for 31 years and I've played drums for over 50 years. Yikes, I'm old too. I want to be a part of this group and learn all about vintage drums so I wouldn't do anything to spoil that. Thanks for being so nice and helpful.

First of all, Welcome! to VDF. Second, this is the wrong place to ask. You should post this in What's It worth" section. These are all of a sudden becoming sought after in the States. This kit is a late 60s YD, I think, and in Oz, should bring a cool 750ish. Hang out, let the Ozzies find you. FayRay, supraphonic, there are several members , and a group as well, so you will get the DownUnder value from them. Those are seriously nice drums, and that is a cool Tiger wrap. Is it in good condition, what are the sizes, that makes a big diff. I like these in 20-12-14, and looks like the original snare as well, you've got a good kit there. Lookms like the sizes are 20-13-16, is this correct? The cymbals, they are midline, and could be worth a couple hundred, I believe if a complete set. So in all, you may be able to get from 600-850, depending on who wants them, and how desperate you are to sell, but this is a BALLPARK guess, and may be high...or low. Just worth what someone will pay.

Hello,

I buy and sell on Ebay solely to acquire drums for my own use and collection. This is not a money making endeavor. Anything I sell goes right back into the funding for a specific drum that I'm in need of. I play drums professionally and have acquired some wonderful instruments buying and selling throughout the past few years.

If for any reason you're not happy with a drum, send it back immediately for a refund minus the return shipping. I will supply contact numbers for open communication and would ask the same of my buyers prior to shipping. I love talking drums!

I have the utmost respect for this instrument and for the people that play and care about drums as I do.

I usually buy and sell snare drums . I do sell other drum related equipment on occasion.

I ship within 4 days.

I use PayPal

My Ebay name is Hindadoon and my feedback rating is 100% with 170+ transactions.

Thanks .....

Paul

Hello VDF,

We're a brand new drum shop located in Hoboken, NJ--just across the river from Manhattan. The Drum Den celebrated it's Grand Opening September 10, 2010 and so far, the response has been great. We are a full service drum shop, so, in addition to selling vintage snares, kits and parts, we also teach lessons, do repairs, rent, and tech.

thanks very much,

Pete
