Is this drum made by Slingerland? And, these are beavertail lugs, correct? One last question, Do other drum companies have their version of "beavertail lugs"
Thank you,

Jeff yea those look like the larger SL BT lugs. Not sure of there were any other copys. There is a new repop.
Thanks Glenn, that was fast!

:) Rogers has the BT lug but looks different as you know.
Do you have a pic of the inside of the shell?
No, this pic was emailed to me. Its all I have. Its from a guy in Wisconsin. Says he has other drums too but Im not sure just what he has yet. Just wanted to confirm this drum is a Slingy.

I'd ask for inside shell pics just to 100% be certain. That will help tell. Tom mount looks right and the hoop. Getting the RK bug are ya?? :)
I don't think that the sticksaver hoops were available during Slingerland's beavertail era. What say ye, Slingy experts?
Good point Rocketman. I'm no expert by any means. I know just enough to get myself in trouble!! LOL
Mr Coopers site shows the new Stick Saver hoops as a 1955 item. Of course the new Sound King lugs too. It also shows the later BT lug design in use from 48-54.
If this is the case I'd think it possible for the tom to be original as pictured. Using what every carryover old stock parts they had to finish those off. What's everyone think?
Should be getting pics of a matching bass and Floor tom soon. Might be a nice purcahse to start off the 2013 drum season lol!
