Bar Bands Last viewed: 22 hours ago

Howdy - Myself and a good buddy of mine who was a radio DJ and talk show host in Toronto, (CFRB 1010) are in the process of creating a website called; Best Bar Bands In The World! I'm handling the graphics and site layout and my friend will supply the editorial/content/production skills.

I'd like to invite anyone who plays in a 'Bar Band' to submit; photos, sound files, links to the bands' website, etc. to me. PM me and I'll give you my contact information. We'll work out the electronic transfer of the materials.

I'm psyched to be involved and I look forward to Best Bar Bands In The World being a popular site among musicians and their bands fans. In future we hope to secure sponsors for an annual, Best Bar Band In The World contest! We have a bunch of great ideas we're looking forward to implementing and trying out.

Hopefully, for the musicians and bands that participate, it'll be another way to get your band 'out there' and seen/heard. Looking forward to your bands' participation. Wish us luck!

Cool idea John. I hope it really takes off for you. I'm on a "local bands of the 70's" group on FB and it's very popular. So I'd think a current bar band website would be very popular as well. Anyhoooo....look forward to seeing it. And best of luck! BTW I can contact quite a few people who might be interested as sponsers. Lemme know the details!

Thanks for the well-wishes. We're hoping it'll be successful and I know it'll be a fun project for sure.

Hey John,

I did a quick whois look up on that URL ... It appears to be unregistered at least under .com .org .net extensions.

You may want to jump on that registration ... sounds like a good idea and you don't want somebody to squat on your domain.

Best of luck!!

john does bar also mean lounge act as i think that's what is mite be for a group evolving hear, weird how its all falling in place imagine a bunch of o'l bar geezers backing up a contemporary hot rod singer well more later first jam session the 5th gary

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I'll talk to my partner, all that is supposed to have been taken care of. He already has his own domain name and a large website. I kind of assumed he was just going to use that existing account. I'll find out what the deal is. I'm spending my time creating the component graphics and with page construction. I'm just 'the mechanic' in this partnership...
