Are These Slingerland Drums? What Year? Last viewed: 22 hours ago

Can someone help me identify this 4 piece drum kit? The bass is 20" and has one 13" tom mounted and they both say "New Voice". It also has a Ludwig cowbell mounted. The floor tom is 16x16" and is a white pearl wrap with no badge. It does have a hole with a chrome ring around it. The resonant head says "Sligerland genuine calf tom tom". The snare has the same wrap as the tom and also has the chrome hole with no badge.

Thanks

Sorry about the small pics. I can get some better one's later. They have been in storage a while and are a bit dusty but are in overall great condition. The mounted tom does not have a bottom head. I did not measure them, but I think the bass is 20" and the mounted tom is 13. The snare is a 14 and the floor tom is about 16x16 if I had to guess...

Floor tom is Slingerland.

Snare is a Gretsch.

Hi All, The drums you have are--floor tom looks to be 16x16 in w.m.p. 60s slingerland should have a badge on it..The snare is a gretsch 60s should also have a round gretsch badge--inside shell also should have a paper the reads gretsch should also be silver paint on the inside of shell..The bass and mount tom are also 60s made in japan THEY ARE COPYS ON ROGERS DRUMS..One of the best i have seen around they even made the tom mount just like rogers wow..mike

Actually, the floor tom is a late '50s or early '60s drum, and there would be no badge on it.

I've seen knock-off Rogers snares before, but never the whole set. And yeah, it looks a lot like a Sonor finish. I'd bet some Rogers guys would like to see the rest of that "new voice" set.

[COLOR="DarkRed"]I agree...a very good copy...if there was no badge on those, I would have guessed Rogers. But Rogers never made that wrap color, so there's the tipoff. But you don't see a copied swivomatic mount plate like that much at all...matter of fact, I cannot say I have ever seen one.

The snare and floor tom are valuable, actually. The bass and rack...more of a curiosity...but maybe only meaningful to a vintage Japanese afficionado.

But, it's a nice grab-bag of decent stuff....
