I just dug up the cd and man that guy was good.I read that he flipped out on acid and dropped out period. To bad,When "America eats its young"first came out I used to (try) and play along with it(loose booty and Nail on the head) and copy the drum licks. His drumming was fantastic to me.The whole lp was perfect in my book, and it still kicks a**>

Thanks,Vati

I wish!! Brailey was nice and solid, but didn't have the style of Fulwood. Once in while I break out P-Funk Allstars Live At The Beverly Theater and listen to Dennis Chambers do the "Let's Take It To The Stage / Mothership Connection / I Call My Baby *****" medley. Evil Sh@#$%t!

Sorry if i,m ranting, P-Funk gets me excited!!!Bowing

I love P-Funk. There's an unknown band called Rasputin's Stash that has that same kind of vibe. Proggy, Trippy, Funk. Their stuff is not available on CD, but someone has uploaded a few songs to YouTube. You should check them out.

Rasputin's Stash are great! That's the kind of rare Funk/Soul that I constantly dig for! I have a vinyl rip of "The Devil Made Me Do It" from 1974. There are a few tracks on compilations out there available on cd. Other tracks in this vein that you might like:

Bubble Gum - 9th Creation

Mister President - Amnesty

Life and Death, Pt. 1 - Chairmen Of The Board

Frankenstein MEETS Blackenstein - Midnight Movers, Unltd.

Also, some cool side albums the P-Funk stable:

A Whole Nother Radio Active Thang - Fuzzy Haskins

Mutiny on the mamaship - Mutiny

Never Buy Texas From A Cowboy - The Brides Of Funkenstein

Invasion of the Booty Snatchers - Parlet

Sweat Band - Sweat Band

Thanks for the heads up on the cool tunes. Where did you get these things? Some of the names are familiar, but I can't remember any of these specific songs. I'll do my best to check it all out.

Thanks again.
