Another ebay fiasco Last viewed: 1 minute ago

Bill actually the money comes from the sellers not the buyers, I've paid this sorry company tens of thousands of dollars in fee's over the years!!

You've got a point... so why then do they seem so "buyer" oriented? I suppose you could say we couldn't sell anything without the buyers, but hey -- the buyers couldn't buy anything if there were no sellers, huh?

Oh well. It is what it is, I guess!

I will say this more about my original post in this thread: When that buyer posted the negative feedback, evidently a lot of people looked at my feedback in general and obviously disregarded what he had to say, because I actually picked up new very satisfied customers during the time I was trying to get the negative feedback removed!

Learning alot from this thread! Sorry to hear about the bad situations that have happened gentlemen and I now realize there's alot of risk mixed in. Hopefully the good outweighs the bad. Now I'll be checking the destinations possible weather conditions before shipping.

Yeah, but that creates alot of hassle for the seller, refunding payment, opening a case, which measn normally waiting 10 days, relisting, 2nd chance offer, all of this because the buyer did not read your terms, or ignored them and created this mess anyway. what I have done now is blocked out all international bidding, (no offense to our friends here overseas) in my case, it sounded like had I done that in the first place, ebay would have removed the feedback. however it did finally have a good ending, the buyer himself removed the feedback. I sent him a message saying I did everything according to the rules, and gave him good feedback and wanted to know what I did to deserve what he did, I must have awakened enlightenment in his head finally. LOL

I had these resolved in one day. I think you're right to block international bidders all together, good idea. Its a shame because there is a big demand for this stuff overseas, but the shipping and customs just take the fun out of it.

Boy, that ain't no joke... and yes, it's a shame. I've sold to several in Canada and Austrailia but have decided it's just not worth the extra hassle on shipping.

I did recently sell a set to a customer in Australia. However, he was going to be in the states, and it took some doing but I shipped the set to NYC where he was going to be. The "doing" all centered around his banking in Australia and shipping it to a US location. After about a week and several communications between us and between him, Paypal, and his bank we got it worked out, though.

And how he got it "home" to the outback I don't know. That was his concern and not mine!
