I love it, shes a great kit with a better story, but I'm recording so much now with my Gretsch and giggin it too.

The ludy's live all bagged up in the studio... Violin

Not unless you really need money. Kit is way too sweet you'll miss even just knowing it's in the bags....:)

I have the same dilemma. Picked up the same kit (22-16-13 in champagne sparkle) and have it now completely restored and it looks and sounds awesome.

As good as it sounds, my 20-14-12 Craviotto still sounds bigger with purer tones. Definitely a first-world problem to have, LOL!

I really do need to sell it, but I just can't pull the trigger. I'm afraid of seller's remorse, I guess.

If you do sell, request that you resist "touching up" the BD hoops - they have the perfect amount of wear for a lot of us, from what I've read here over the years.

But don't sell. :)

Look man, bands come and go. Why sell something thats based on something that could change at any moment. Besides, Why can't you have two kits?

I would keep them. You have them stored in nice cases. No harm no foul. Like Jason said your tastes and bands might change down the road. So even the fact your not really using them now.......this can change. Plus you have the nice SS to go with them on the side there. It's nice to have a few different kits. Each has a unique sound to itself. So if your not hurting for cash keep them. They sure are nice looking and bet they sound fantastic too.

Now!............if you ever decide to sell the little old A splash I traded you a few years ago let me know!! I think you have too many cymbals and need to cut a few loose. :D

Glenn.

The test is to set her up and play it 'one last time'. Many times it changes your mind about selling when you recall why you own them in the first place.

If you do sell - sell to a friend who would give you first choice if/when they sell. It's like putting it in reserve/ practically a loan with a drum kit as collateral - with very loose/ no terms as it is no guarantee when it could come back to you. At least it would not be lost to a stranger that you will lose touch with - leaving you to wonder forever what happened to it!

and NO....not against any rules for you to have 2 kits - even if it spends some considerable time in the bags. If it was, there would be thousands of guilty parties here on this forum!

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
