I have a chance to pick up a nice KB jazz fest in blue sparkle. What would be a fair price? I checked E-pay and the prices seem outrageous, so I thought I'd ask my brothers who are in the know.
Advice on a Jazz Fest purchase Last viewed: 3 hours ago
Going off of eBay current Buy It Now prices are crazy! I would think $300-$350 is a good price, but all depends on the condition....without a few photo's or even more specific factors in the snare, plays a huge part in price. COB hoops for instance??

Thanks Nevin. Yes, I agree that the BIN prices as just silly. I have not seen the snare in pictures or in person yet, but I am told that it is in very good condition. I was thinking that something in the $300 range would be fair as well. Based on the serial number, I'd put it at mid 60's, so I'm assuming COS hoops. I'll be seeing it later tonight, so feel free to add any other input before I head out. Thanks again!
I just recently got a really nice pre-serial sky blue pearl J-fest for $500 + shipping. Nickel over brass hardware and hoops. Best sounding snare drum in the world. If you get it for $300 it'll be a score. If it's in really nice, clean condition, $350 - $375 would be a stomp-down bargain. Those drums are finally starting to sell for what they are really worth!

I have a Jazz Festival clone (Keller shell with re-rings), BO badge, and wrapped in Blue Sparkle that would easily fetch $300. A KB Jazz Festival, in nice condition, can easily sell for $400-$500. Naturally, color has allot to do with it, with Oysters selling for much more. The JF drums you see on eBay, from such sellers like "leecounty" never sell, because they are way overpriced!
