On Jan 13th. I won an auction on EBay for what was listed as "RARE Ludwig 50's-60's straight floor tom legs". When they arrived they were steel stock cut to look like floor tom legs. You could see where they were put on a grinder to bevel the ends. They weren't even the right diameter, not chrome, no where even close as described. I contacted the seller and he agreed to refund my money to my PayPal account as soon as I mailed them back to him. I mailed them back at my cost and to date have not received my refund. About once a week I have sent him a message as to why I haven't received my refund and guess what, no response. He has 184 transactions selling drum equipment the most current last Sunday. What would you do?

Open a case on Ebay or Paypal. I wouldnt hesitate to leave him negative feedback either. What was his Ebay ID? It might keep someone else from dealing with a bad seller also.

+1 for this. We need to know who NOT to buy from. On the flip side of the coin, maybe there's the possibility of some personal issue keeping the seller from contacting you? Just a thought.

There used to be a timing window for opening a case so do it right away. I got caught once because I was strung along by a seller until the month (or whatever it was then) had passed. I haven't had trouble since then, but my advice on what to to is: always open a case first, then start talking with the seller. You can always drop the case as resolved.

Thanks everybody, good advise all around. I sent him a message again this morning stating that if my refund wasn't in my account in 24 hours I would open a case with EBay. I'll check in the morning and if it's not there I'll open the case. The seller is: kevinlikeseveryone He seems to sell lots of drum equipment.

4 negative and 3 neutral feedbacks in last 12 months. Not very good at all. Ebay's 97% feedback rating is very misleading. This guy's been screwing others around as well. Sorry for your troubles. If you need any legal help let me know. Crooks like this ruin it for everyone.

I've seen him selling alot on DFO too. The site is down at the moment for upgrades and I forget what his login there is. I inquired on a few things he was selling but never bought from him. Thanks for the heads up and hope it gets worked out.
