I say Mike Layton's got more than one. Over your lifetime, how many Mike? :)
The MVP of snare drums.

Hmmm. I think i own around 20 or so right now and each one is different. I have probably sold another 30-40 or so?

I've never owned one... Toilet
(red66charger)
Looking for:
- L.A. Camco 12" Stradivarius Tom Tom
Yeah...I'm not proud of that fact. I've had a couple of Supras but never an Acro. I tried to get one off of my buddy in Ohio last month as he has three of them. He wouldn't give one up yet he robbed me of a 20" 602 ride. (He fell in love with the Cymbal and doesn't have much. I had to let him keep it)
Life's not fair. I was just a few minutes late responding to the recent Acro that sold for $85 shipped, I think it was.
I hear nothing but great things about these snares.

______
Early '70's Slingerland New Rock #50 in blue agate (20-16-13-12)
Late '50's WFL Swingster/Barrett Deems in black/gold Duco
'70's Slingerland Gene Krupa Sound King COB
early '70's Ludwig Acrolite
'80's Ludwig Rocker II 6 1/2" snare
Rogers Supreme Big "R" hi hat
I think I only have four of them. They all sound great. I have two earlier ones with the COB hoops and those bring a little something "extra" to the table.
I usually have one with me at all gigs as my backup snare for one of my more expensive ones but I'm not entirely sure I don't have that backwards.
The local Music Go Round often has Acros (usually 70s or 80s models) for $80 - $100 so I'm surprised I don't have more of them. I don't expect I'll catch up to Mr. Layton anytime soon. That's quite a collection Mike.
Here's a little inventory of the ones that I have:
1-1st generation(often called prototypes) round knob-imperials-cob hoops
2-Ist generation aluminum hoops
3-Pre serial keystone red felt crimped beds cob hoops
4-65 keystone all original
5-late 65 keystone (first vintage snare owned)
6-Keystone 5x14 10 lug
7-Keystone NYC 6.5x14 10 lug
8-69 Keystone transitional with sideways badge
9-B/O badge '70 no serial number
10-B/O pointy badge imperial lugs
11-B/O 5x14 10 lug
12-B/O NYC 6.5x14 10 lug
13-B/O 5x14 pointy badge came with Vistalite Combos
14-Black Galaxy 10 lug silver badge
15-Black Galaxy B/W badge 5x14 imperial lugs
16-Black Galaxy B/W badge 6.5x14 10 lug
17-Customized 5x14 8 lug bare aluminum with all nickel hardware
18-Project in the works
Have pics of them all if anyone wants to see any of them.
