Acrolite finish Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Found this snare for sale, its listed just as a 60's ludwig. It has a keystone badge but the muffler looks like the ones used on the 70's acrolites. The case it comes with has the the blue and olive badge from the 70's.

Can anyone help me out with some information?

Thanks.

Found this on craigslist, its listed just as a 60's ludwig, I believe it's a 70's acrolite but the finish doesn't look right, any suggestions?

the early 70's models had that bright anodized finish like the keystone models. especially if its a nice clean model, it could look like that.

its an acrolite. they switched from the baseball bat mufflers back to round knob mufflers later in 68. it may also have p85 instead of a p83. all of this would be correct for the period.

I have one just like yours.

Keystone, round knob muffler.

But is has a P-83.

SN: is 652 763

Date inside is hard to read.

1961, 64 or 68 ?

Probably 68.

It also has a red sharpie "L" going sideways next to date.

Yours is in great shape.
