Thanks guys . A funny thing to note as well . As I mentioned he played a bit with Les Brown . It was actually his first big time gig. Many years ago I was actually engaged to Les Brown's Granddaughter and spent quite a few holidays with him listening to him sing christmas songs on the piano while changing the words around for a laugh . It really is a small world .
wow i have to say as time, goe's by, i realize/.....
For your dad to have played with "Les Brown and His Band of Renoun" is a major accomplishment in itself, but for you to have once been engaged to his Grandaughter is something else again.Loved the story about the Christmas songs around the piano and the changing of the lyrics.I can see all of this happening,lol-great story!

Very cool picture and very interesting history concerning your dad. Give him regards from the guys here!
Thanks guys . I am glad you dig the picture and the stories . I will for sure give him regards . That will make his day . Hopefully that will inspire him to pick up his horn today and play . He still has that same trumpet in the picture .
I am a HUGE Big Band Fan and Les Brown is right up there on the top of my favorites list. This whole story just makes me SMILE when I read it!
