Got any pics? Are they just the shells or is there any hardware included?

I will post pics as soon as I am off work today. The drums include lugs Tom mounts and hoop. Thanks

Since he stated ..."Both shells are only drilled on the batter side"...this seems to indicate that they are concert toms so my guess would be 16" diameter and 14" depth. JoeT...Since you have not put up pictures...Are there mounts on these shells? What brand? What lugs are on the shells? If these are indeed concert toms are there more drums to this set or just these two?How much do you want for them?Could you post some pictures?

You are right! They are concert toms. I bought a silver sparkle Ludwig a year ago and these came with.

The hardware does not look special and there are Tom mounts as well. I will post pics as soon as I am home. I did get a message from another member who would have 1st shoot at buying these.

I trust the drum community on here to tell me what's fair. I just want someone who understands these drums to make them cool again. Thanks

I understand but I am not sure so I want to post pics. When I said they are nothing special I was excluding USA or UK brand drums. I don't know Japanese hardware but that's what I am assuming. I will get pics up in a little more than 4 hours. Thanks, Steve.

Jinx will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that, Allen ever used MIJ hardware on his drums.

Dang! I only just now found this thread, (thanks, Steve!) so I guess I'm late to the party. No sweat though, I'm real happy with my Blaemire kit as it is and unless somebody decides to sell a 14" tom I can convert to a second floor tom. I'm not much interested in these orphans. I already have a 15"x16" and adding a 15" doesn't quite ring the bell for me.

Good luck to whoever gets them. You'll be getting some amazing sounding tubs! Well worthy of building a kit around them... (if) you can find more Blaemires! However, 'When in doubt, go the Jenkins/Martin route!'

Gotdam, I'm a poet and I didn't know it! LOL

For the most part, Allen never set the shells up for lugs.

Most of the time it was done at one of the drum shops of the time or by the individual that could buy the shell direct from Allen or the shop. They decided on the type of lugs and hardware used. So sometimes it would be MIJ. I have seen some nasty set ups with lugs all over the map as well as mounts!

Crying shame is what that is!

So, what are these current puppies under discussion going for?

Extremely Nasty and Unruly Lay Outs on some of these.

"Hey, I'm a drum builder. How hard could it be?"

.................Oh wait..that was me in '75.

Apparently, flat surfaces and squares were not readily available to some of these dudes.

"All over the map" comes to mind.

At least I used a framing square when I started.

Didn't help with the drill though.

I think I drilled one hole wrong on my first 16 tom.

Inside a lug thankfully.

I learned the big bummer feeling right away.

More Careful, Methodical Layouts Man. Check it 3 times.
