Thought it would be fun to take a look at some of Keith Thibodeaux's very vintage kits from around 1956. These are two examples of what they put up for him to play on the sound stage. Check out that very strange floor tom in the first one. I love the second one - it's a Slingerland! SWEEET!!! I'll try and post the video of that one. Keith had some cool feel for such a little tyke. Pretty amazing grasp of the instrument.

David and the Giants! Oh yeah. Very cool stuff through the years. I have always admired him for his total dedication to the instrument. He quit the group after he got saved ... but came back when the group switched to Christian Rock in the late 70's. I picked up on them during that phase and have taken the time to research the roots. Interesting stuff.

Any idea what the makeup of that first kit is??? I'm pretty much stumped on that floor tom.
