Have a couple of acrolites and I’m not sure they have the correct p85 strainers.

Both are blue/olive with round edges.

So if my googling is correct ‘79 to ‘84

But can anyone help pin point a more exact year?

3101613

and…

3050242

Thank you so much.

~'82-'84 is most likely for those serials on a rounded corner B/O badge. Your badges would also be expected to have a thin black outline surrounding the serial numbers. A P-85 black face strainer with either 2 or 12 holes would be expected.

Thank you for this. The earlier serial number has 12 hole strainer the later has a two hole - but the two holes are threaded and a sort of bar goes across the strainer to clamp cord/plastic within. Does that seem ok?

If the second P-85 you describe (with clamping bar for tape/strap) is chrome without the black face then it is a replacement.

Nope - it’s got the black face logo on the p85. But had the clamping bar! Which is why I’m slightly confused!

Can you provide a picture of the two hole strainer? Does it look like it was originally like that or has it been modified?
