Saw this on the Rogers FB page. I know CL ads are normally a no no but $800 for what looks to be a nice 70 Dyna in WMP. Maybe someone local can check and out and score a nice deal. If it's the real thing? :)
$800 WMP Wood Dyna............... Last viewed: 2 days ago
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

He doesn`t know a clock face strainer from a Swivo-matic,and those aren`t bread and butter lugs. Not exactly confidence-inspiring.
Those snare gates on the res side hoop are pre 70. Definitely not quite up on the specs of his drum.
Never mind all that. Someone run over and grab that drum!!!
LONG gone!!!!!
My problem with this one was all of the language denoting a knowledge of the drums value, but yet displaying a complete ignorance of the parts, and then putting a salvation army store price on it. I hope whomever jumped on this did not just blow a wad of cash on a 400.00 project. Greed makes one poor.

I agree Jack. Hopefully the person that bought it was able to see it in person and verify it was indeed the real thing. Seller might have been in a bind for cash and needed a quick sale. You just never know. Maybe we'll see on the forums who bought it and what the deal was.

There is a faux dyna floating around the Chicago area maybe this is it
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
Either way ....... I have downloaded the pics and will put it in my questionable file.

I'd take it even as a project drum and change the color to something nice.
However, it looks very authentic to me, and right down to having the bottom hoop and snares on backwards. How many times have you seen that?
I'm filing it under a "miss."
