70's Sling Sound KIng COB 6.5x14 Last viewed: 3 hours ago

This has been my snare for a long while now. It was one of my first projects! I started a thread here on the forum when I first got it. Replaced the strainer, wires, tension rods, and butt plate. One tension rod usually will not stay connected. A member here said it is probably just slightly out of round. Still sounds great! Has scratches, imperfections, and the butt plate is missing a piece.

I used to have one of these - mid 60s - used a 2 threaded rods and 4 nuts to round it up and it worked great. It CAN be done. I ended up taking mine to GC and they gave me 175 for it. That is an option.

Or if anyone wants to pick this up here - you will have a GREAT snare. This is a killer deal.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

compare that to the price of a Ludwig 6.5 cob and it is a no brainer. that's a beautiful drum. shouldn't last long. if I wasn't making room for what I have, i'd be all over it.
