Slideshow for pics

The Mrs. got laid off for 3 weeks and I need to make some money to cover bills. Sold as shown, Serial number puts it at around 1979, light pitting and some scratches as shown, all original except for heads. Mechanism works well, tuned low and fat, but this will cut through steel at 50 feet tuned up tight!!

Looking to get $385.00

$370.00

$350.00 plus shipping (Parcel Post, Insured and Sign. Conf.) from So Calif.

Thanks drums2x, appreciate the words and yes, it is a great snare. Hopefully some one else will think so too.

Very tempted but have no experience with the SS mechanism. The standard Luddy strainers are gig-proof but there are so many parts on the SS that it makes me wonder if it will survive gigs/touring. Can anyone chime in?

I had a 77 14x5 ss up till 3 mths ago..

DAMN I sold it for $275 to a 14 yr old kid that needed a snare that was usable for jazz/ska/etc etc..On his drum teachers advice he bought mine asap..Mine was 100% orig except I added the Pure sound wires)

100% condition..now i'm playing a 69 COB Dyna / 63 wood ludwig pioneer and a 63 COB powertone..

Gotta say...it Still is my Fav /..being able to adjust the sound from either my left or right hand in between songs is something that i miss..

It alway travelled with me in either a Hardshell 16" with interior pieces added (keep from moving or my 14" ss case/..***hard to find/good luck.

Because the ss system travels out about 1.5" on either side..

Yr best to get a hardcase 16" and cut away some off the lip (some when you close it..it'l reduce to a 6" / not the usual 14/16" depth.

hope this helps//...

My only complaint about this snare was that / when in a tight spot..

It would rubb the inside of my knee/thigh on my bass drum leg.

Everybody and i mean everybody gave comps for this snare..flowers2

as for the linkage pieces / yes lots but never had a problem...I owned and actively played 3nights a week (3/4hrs a sitting for over 10yrs with that drum.).!

Bop iT / Til U Drop iT.
