This set is for sale in my area and the person wants $2,500 or best offer. It is a 20 bass, 13 and 16 toms. The 13 has two small extra holes drilled but are covered by the tom mount. The bass has a few non original T's and claws and the inlays are missing on both hoops.
Can I have some opinions on this set and price even with the extra holes in the 13. I'm mainly want the 13 and 16 toms as I have a 22 bass already and would likely sell the 20. Thanks for any input.
I have a feeling that anyone who buys the preposterously overpriced "Ringo" drums, at this late date, is going to shortly be sitting on some white elephants, worth no more than other Ludwig finishes. Like a Ponzi scheme, those that got them earlier have made a killing, but now, they're just priced to gouge those that have recently caught the collector's fever. They're not even rare, & there's plenty to go around. (I'm no Nostradamus, & I might be mistaken about interest in OBP fading in the near future due to unreal prices). For $2500 one could get several better made vintage sets.
This kit is currently on ebay. At far less than his asking price.
