If I was to come across a 64 acro, in good condition for $160. Would that be a fair price?
He is asking 175. I offered 140, he counters 160 if i get it tomorrow

they have gone up here recently for some reason. nothing wrong with that price based on what ive been seeing. if its a true 64, it may have cob hoops which usually add a premium. should be a red felt muffler model as well. good luck!

Hmmm... I think I'll go hug my cheap ol'63. Group Hug
Thanks guys. I may offer 150 and see if he takes it. I'll ask if the snares are original and if the muffler is red
No buy on the drum. Turned out to be a March of 65 drum. Had a white felt muffler, but cheap sound percussion snares, a dent in the upper rim, a rip in the reso head, and a fair amount of scratches a little bit of everywhere.
Saved $150.00 towards some new cymals when i come across the ones i want.
sounds like a good call. you can do better at that price..

Yea, I think I made the right call on it. I already have a 66 acro that I put together, just missing the muffler. Which I just use a little bit of duct tape on the head to muffle the over tones when needed... Had this been a nicer drum, my plan was to sell my incomplete '66 and use the complete '64...
I told the guy about my issues with the drum and apologized if I wasted his time in meeting up with me. He was a nice enough fella and he understood.
