"Just Arrived" in the GC Used section for the Springfield, NJ store.

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Rogers-Vintage-1960s-Rogers-Dynasonic-5X14-Red-Sparkle-Drum-110359495-i3846429.gc

Not sure of the condition or originality, but they are asking $1,199.

Please update if you call for details and/or purchase the drum.

Yes, they are always "FIRM". ;)

Isn't the going rate for a wood Dyna around $1,600 to $2,000? So this might be a decent deal, if there aren't any issues. Frames and strainers can be found, if they are missing. The key is the shell and it's condition.

I hate how GC only puts up 1 picture. Can't really tell much with just 1 picture, which makes you call or e-mail and that's a whole different story.

"Hello, thanks for calling GC. This is the drum department."

"Hi, I'm calling about the .... "

"I'm sorry what did you say?"

Same scenario, if you were actually visit GC in person. Hint, this happened to me last night. ;)

FIRM on vintage.....

I guess they can be somewhat flexible depending upon how much $$ they have invested. One of the sales kids at my local GC told me they'd knock $100 off the asking price on a BDP 4-pc Slingy, and I never even asked about the price. I wasn't even interested. It was getting dusty, and they were obviously trying to move it. I don't think they're going to be that desparate to move this wood Dyna.

But Geez! Who sold a wood Dyna to GC and at what price???

Someone that didn't know what they had when they cleaned out Uncle Billy's house.

I wonder how much GC actually gave? I bet it was a couple hundred, if that. Makes you want to hang out in the GC parking lots to wait for trade-ins.

I went and looked, completely original,I believe, all flat-sided tension rods, original 19 strand snares, flat side D stamped strainer, which I think is right for ser#8316.I bought it for $1100 plus tax,$99 less than asking.I should have offered $1k,they might've accepted, but I was advised they`re firm on vintage.I need this drum like I need leprosy, lol,my sixth woody plus 2 COB`S.The seller had the rest of the kit,but would only sell the dyna, according to GC,so I guess I`m on the lookout for some Cleveland red sparkle tubs.

Nice work. Any photos? Us overseas people can't see the stuff on the GC site. Or at least I can't

Congrats on getting this snare. I'm glad a VDF member was able to get it. I would have been all over it, but I just didn't have the dough.

I can't wait to see the pictures.
