60's Rogers Luxor black and gold duco Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Pick this drum up and realized its kind of rare. Ive searched eBay and I've seen similar luxors but not with this finish/ lug type. Do the "bread and butter" lugs indicate an earlier model? All luxors I seem to find have the "beaver tail" lugs. It came with the stock 16 strand snare wires and original heads

Sorry to break it to you but that isn't a rare drum. Can't use feebay as a guide there are less posts there because of the fees these days. Black/gold duco was a lower end finish(not pearl). The script logo and ridged fragile b+b lugs date it to around 1960-63. The 6 lug Luxor was their low end snare.

The best thing about you drum is that is stock with heads and snares. All that said it is a 100-150.00 snare. If you re going to play it as found the lugs will crack. There are methods to brace the lugs.
