60s Ludwig BDP Foundling kit 5-6 serial numbers, Ex condition Last viewed: 1 day ago

3pc BDP 1960s Ludwig kit. 3ply re-ring shells, white interiors. The guy I bought this from said it was a foundling kit. The bass drum is virgin, so the rack tom is mounted off a snare stand. The best 20" bass drum I've ever heard, honestly. 12 and 14 are in excellent condition. Original mufflers. No extra holes.

$1500 USD obo plus actual shipping from Toronto. Will nest the drums, which means taking off the rack tom hardware and floor tom muffler. Easy to reassemble, that's how I got them... took an hour to put together maybe.

EDIT: I'm gonna say US/Canada only on these. I don't want to deal with shipping overseas.

Very Nice. Please, what is a "Foundling Kit?"

First I read "founding" as in the Fathers, then "fondling" and I was like whaaa?

But...I think I know what "foundling" means and I don't want to hear it! :)

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Okay I thought it meant somebody just found those, which would be wonderful for them, but also kind of like being punched in the face...lol

Yes, an orphan kit. The serial numbers don't match. The guy who put it together paid pretty painstaking attention to the quality of the wrap though, the drums all match and you can't tell, sound-wise or visually that they weren't sold as a kit.
