Ran across this on the Guitar Center used gear website. Half way down on the page they have it listed as a 58 Ludwig Keystone. If I only lived in Virginia to go take a look in person.

Those are Trans badges too, from what these old eyes can see.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

My guess is it was all purchased at the same time....as there is no off brand or newly manufactured stands....also noted the bass muffler! One photo is not enough to sell this kit as you need to be there first hand to check them all out! Never know, if there is a ding or two, maybe a scuff here or there, a person may be able to get them to drop the price......at any rate.....how many of these are out there for sale??

I feel that they have it marked pretty low compared to their usual prices for vintage stuff. There was a 60's slingerland without cases and stands at the Nashua, NH store a year and a half ago going for about the same (don't recall the exact price).

Has anyone successfully bought a used item from Guitar Center over the net? I have emailed on countless items and have not once gotten a response from any store. Unfortunately the 2 stores in my city always charge an arm and a leg for their vintage stuff, they have a 70s Slingy Sound King at one priced at $750! I have seen some great deals at other stores on their website though.

If you know the store manager, or if not go to your GC find the Store manager, not the department manager, ask him the Store Manager what is the lowest price on the Item, they have three price levels, get the bottom one. this is usually a good price, they won't answer an email.
