From my experiences all of the Kent throw offs that I have come across have been damaged in one way or another, I think it'd be pretty rare for someone to have a perfectly working one, as in my opinion they are absolute junk. I was on the search for one for a few months, but each one i came across was progressively worse than the last one.

With a little lube, some adjusting, plus you may have to straighten the handle to the correct position, they work just fine for me!

What if the snare switch arm has broken off, and is lost, as is the case with many of these? Is there any good newer replacement?

I currently have a Kent snare with the missing strainer arm. It would make a good adjustable butt end, but is obviously not usable as a throw.

That's the problem with mine. The throw off arm is gone, I can switch the snares off with a little fiddling but switching it back on requires plyers. Looking for the arm or entire throw. I do need the snares too.

Thanks Mikey, looking for those pics.

I new you would weigh in on this Mouse!

Yeah, I live in Bflo and met you at the Big Bang, you were playing a set of Kents in champagne sparkle, if I remember correctly, did that set have metal hoops on the bass drum?

Do you know where I can get a throw?
