I didnt notice the "S" rods before. Those are probably from the late 30's, as they are paired with single claw hooks. Looking through my old catalogs, I notice that in 1940, the "S" rods were still being used along with the new double claw hooks. The use of the "S" hooks probably stopped by 1941-42.

Thanks guys, I was going to flip this but now that it's cleaned up I wouldn't mind looking for a tom, ft and snare same era. Yeah right, if I hit the lottery!! Any one know of a FT in need of some love that dates around the same era, not too expensive. I have a line on a 40's (different lugs though) hoop mounted tom. Rich.
