25" Gretsch Broadkaster bass drum hoops - pair Last viewed: 1 day ago

That's right, 25" kick drum hoops from a 30's Gretsch Broadkaster bass drum. It was 25x14, I'm parting it out rather than try to find replacements for two ripped calfskin heads. This means I also have 10 rocket lugs, 10 faucet head 14" T-rods, 10 small hoop clips and 10 threaded hoop claws. The metal parts are going on eBay tonight in lots of 5, but I thought a somewhat rare size of hoop should be offered here. I know they're not worth much, hopefully someone needs them for a cool project. $30 plus shipping gets the pair.

Photos coming, one hoop needs a wood repair and they both need to be painted. They're currently red.

BTW, the shell itself is in amazing shape, and I don't know what to do with it. Original bearing edges, absolutely immaculate inside, white marine pearl looks good outside with even fading. I was hoping the wrap could be cut into strips for snare drum recovering, but the pieces are like 3" too small for the circumference of a 14" drum. I'll ship the shell to someone too if anyone has interest. Get at me.

Why not have Matt at CT Pro Percissuon make you a pair of 25" calf heads and keep the drum? Would be a shame to see it parted to the winds. Sounds like a nice one.

I'm not usually that guy that parts drums out, quite the opposite actually, but this one just doesn't seem very useful to me. I'm pretty over bass drums larger than 20" these days. I bought this drum because I needed the badge, and the rest of the parts subsidized that.

In any case, I'm certainly not interested in investing money into it, and custom heads are not cheap. Hell, I buy most of my heads used anyway, I hate how much drum heads cost.
