22" Zildjian Trans Stamp

Loading...

Slightly under-sized at 21 1/2", awesome main ride weight @ 2491 grams. On the stiffer side, drilled for 15 rivets, currently has 5. Small bell, small mount hole, heavily hammered. Slight keyhole. I think it's from the late 40s, possibly early 50s. Some earlier owner decided to clean it. Either way it's hands down a beautiful jazz cymbal and the finest Avedis I've owned--buttery feel, strong stick, and tons of the trans stamp "dragon breath".

If my wife will clear space from her iPhone, I'll try to get some more shots if necessary.

Basically, I need the $ for the holidays and, believe it or not, I found a light 22" 60s A--2350 ish-- that's all gunked up and dark and fits better with the 22 new stamp and the 21 block from yoursef. Let me know if you're interested...

No chunks have been cut! LoLoLoLo

It's my thumb (my wife tells me I don't have chunky thumbs).

Had the cymbal been repaired, I'd certainly have mentioned it in the listing etc.

No cracks, the edge is almost perfectly smooth.

You're right though, at first glance it does look like there's a piece missing--hmm. Hopefully this series of posts will clarify!

Do your kids really need the presents? :)

Man, my only suggestion is to find a way to keep that sucker; having three 22's is not a crime! (though you are sporting no 20's now?)

That's right, no 20s! We got the current 3 22s, the 21, and a couple 18 old Ks that don't get much action...
