Hello Dave!...
... and WELCOME to the VDF!, but... and I mean this in the nicest possible way: This is a VINTAGE drum forum, and your drums, while certainly BEAUTIFUL!, and far from being VINTAGE. I moved them to this category, but that was a friendly gesture, as again... they are not even close to being vintage. Being that this is the Vintage Drum Forum, we do try and stay focused in that direction! Again, WELCOME!, and enjoy your stay!

What a gorgeous kit. Must sound pretty incredible. Interesting sizes, too.
It is indeed very beautiful and certainly modeled, at least, on vintage drums...:)

So true Mitch!, but... this has always been a "sticky wicket" .. meaning .. David and I from the start decided that there are PLENTY of other drum forums on the net, so this one was going to be focused on the VINTAGE ASPECT alone. Because of that, I/we had to draw the line in the sand as otherwise, it would no longer be a VINTAGE drum forum! As such, we are kind of unique actually! That all said, it's always tough for me to gently move/remove modern day drums/pics .. but .. we are what we are! These Craviotto's are so NICE though, I did keep them posted, but just moved them to the general category.

I love the fact this forum exists as it does. I'm on a few others, but this one is always open in my tabs. The quality of the people and the posts IMHO can't be matched else where. I don't have to weed my way through numerous posts of low end kits to get a glimpse at a gem. Around here, they are all gems.
This is a nice looking kit, though I personally prefer the look of their natural maple kits.
Agree with Jay, I'm glad you draw that line Tommy. :) My post was strictly observation, no politics...I am on no other drum forums, as I have no interest in anything new...except maybe C&C :)

Only other forum I would highly recommend Mitch is the Pearl Drummers Forum. And that is due in fact that people who work at Pearl have a thread specific for helping with Pearl issues. I had them recently send me a few parts that were missing from a new Session kit I bought. After over a year of dealing with GC I made one post on the forum. Parts were mailed out to me next day, free of charge. Another member had a replacement kit sent to him, return postage was even paid for his defective shells. For me, that kind of service is great, and great to know a company cares so much.
I've ended up there a few times from searching google images. Read some good threads. Only about vintage drums though...:)

A very nice drum set pictured here. Is this a solid shell set? I know it will sound tremendous but in return I've heard you must be very careful with them. They are by nature quite unstable drums and can loose shape very easily. Also I've heard that they can literally "explode" due to the force the wood is under. I've never experienced that of course. Enjoy them!
Anyway I also agree with Tommy that the line has to be drawn. It makes total sense!
