Dell (Wendell) Richardson was the lead singer, guitarist, and drummer from a band Osibisa formed in 1969 in London I believe and the first album, "Pieces of a Jig-Saw" was indeed a collectors item back in the day. They have a web site and you can find all kinds of information about Dell on it and if you search the correct name.
The endorsers badge lacks the second "L". It`s just a hunch but this is or was a very popular "criss-cross" style band early on and often Dell is singing from behind a kit or guitar.
Here`s an early pic of Dell rehearsing at Mill Hill Music Complex in London. Again, this is just a hunch but I think it may be his drum.
I`ll bet that drum is siting behind him as part of that kit in the background.
It`s worth a shot to look into it.

I saw this interview yesterday and thought the same thing. I think he was even listed as "del" in some instances instead of "dell". I wouldn't doubt that it was his one bit.

Wow ! I can't believe it !
I went to see Osibisa at the "WHISKEY A GO GO" a zillion years ago.
They used to chant "O-SI-BI-SA" .Some of they're stuff resembled "War".
