2003 Musicyo Slingerland kit advice pls!

Hi all, I'm looking at a 2003 era maroon colour Slingerland kit, 12/13/16/22 sized shells. Serials 0061xx - 0063xx.

I'd love to know what these shells were made of - maple etc etc. and whether this was a "good" or "bad" Slingerland period.

All I know of Slingerland is the chequered history, and that a friend had a Slingerland kit back in the late 80s with coated heads, and it sounded Beatles-esque, not particularly bright projection, sort of pneumatic, quite retro, by no means nasty!

I've previously owned a Yamaha birch 9000 kit only.

They do not go down too well around here.. Not their best period by a long shot..

If you are in Aus and its the Ebay kit.. then he is asking far too much $..

Agree with long john on this one,not "real" Sling kit here, MIT Musicyo era

Not the best drums getting around at the time, change the badges rims and lugs and

you've got a Maxtone or Powerbeat, which go for about 200 smackers!
