Just got home from a road trip with a bunch of MIJ stuff. This was in the bottom of the pile (no kidding). 1st Rogers for me, I thought it was a Dyna when I first saw it. Has a weird looking hoop on the top, it looks like a snare side hoop. The snare gates are concave? Any ideas on what snare this hoop came off from? Can someone fill me in on this drum? Thanks, Tommy

Tommy - Looks like a late 60's, early 70's, 5-line Dynasonic! The snare rig is missing on the bottom along with the tone control felt, but that's not much to have to replace in order to get one of the best sounding snare drums on the planet in return for the investment.
If you got it cheap, you scored! Yes Sir

No S--t! That is good news! Yes Sir When / if it quits raining so I can unload my truck, I take a pic of what I brought home. Thanks for the "poop" John. Tommy
1975 First Generation Transition Big R Rogers Dynasonic. Badge should be located 1st panel to the right of the throw off. You need a snare frame, wires and a correct hoop.

Someone dropped something on the snare bridges.......that's why they are pushed down.........
I have seen stuff like that before............
This is the pile of stuff the Dyna was in.
Well, if you have to get found in a pile, that's as good as any! LoLoLoLo
Sweet find!

If there is something in the pile that would make a "shorty" snare stand to set up a 15x12 marcher behind a trap set, let me know and I'll send you some bucks for it.
Kev
What kind of cymbals came in that pile ?
Was the boat in the pile too ??
