1980s CB700 "Parallel Lay" Snare Drum

Loading...

I've decided I don't have the time or interest in fixing/restoring this beauty, so thought maybe someone else would like to...

An early 1980s CB700 "Parallel Lay" 6.5x14 Snare Drum. The parallel mechanism is broken -- a small weld inside the throw-off side. I think it can be done, but I'm not a welding expert.

The drum is complete except for the snare wires and snare-side head, and is in good shape cosmetically.

Info and pictures here: http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=31440

Make me a reasonable offer through PM or email. As always, I'm welcome to the idea of trades.

Thanks,

Bill

I bought a 6.5 shell like this for only five bucks at a drum shell graveyard sale at a local drum shop no hoops and no wires and no bar that runs below the shell the one inside the drum is intact

the weird thing is the drum looks like it was just made yesterday ...very very clean

I have some ten hole stick savers that i was going to use with it

but after seeing the complete drum here...I am unsure about if they would be do-able
