1979 Slingerland no badge question Last viewed: 9 hours ago

Loading...

Slingerland drums towards the end of there era did not put badges on many of there drums. If they allow you take heads off this will let you know if it was a rewrap or not. If there are any holes that have been covered up you will see. If its a re wrap you can see prior markings on the drums. Example the gourmet if it has been replaced. I had a set that i brought new in 69 and it had no badges, very similar.

As far as I know.......and, I have owned completely original Slingerland sets from the 50's, 60's, and early to mid 70's......there were years when Slingerland did not badge their toms. But, the snare drums and bass drums always had badges. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Yes leedybdp some came with badges on bass drums and snares and at the the end they just let go sets with no badges. You knew it was Slingerland because of hardware. Many sets that I have seen with out badges made by slingerland.
