That was every kids wet dream back then. Man I miss those days. Even if your kit had lower hardware, the hoops came off and went behind the dresser. The duct tape came out and all the heads all had muffling stuck to the bottom of the head. Beautiful kit, thanks for sharing.

bearing edge on the bottom of all the drums. Makes you almost want to add the bottom head but this factory original set is staying factory original...at least while I have them!

Gary, no your correct they had bearing edges on the bottom of concert toms.
My 76 3-ply kit had the bearing edges cut too. I went ahead and added the lower hardware. Did they offer the stainless in dual head configuration? I have only seen them as concert toms. I bet they sound like absolute THUNDER with two heads!
The Octa-Plus was only sold as concert toms but there is a set out there where the owner added the bottom heads but it came out of the factory as concert toms.
