I'm not super familiar with Rogers kits, but was thinking about checking this out. Decent deal?

For just the 3 drums it seems expensive. Toms are each missing hoops with no mention of them in the ad. If it included more it would be better. I'm no expert so hopefully someone else will chime in for you. But as is seems pricey.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Decent deal IMO,the non matching Bass drum hoops definitely make it a player kit, my main concern is no swivo arm to mount the tom to the bd, a cleveland era machined arm could cost you 125.00, a later cast one more like 75.00 I think, and you would need to buy bottom rims and t rods to complete the kit. If there are no extra holes you could return it to original condition, but I think to find BD hoops with matching inlay, the arm and original rogers hoops and t rods would easily cost 300.00.Even if the kit has no xtra holes and is in good condition the faux wood wraps are not highly desirable in general would see if he would take 400.00

Check the edges on the drums without the bottom hoops. If they're ok, see if he'll drop to $350 or throw in some of the other stuff (a kick pedal and the cymbals) for the full $500.

One mounted tom is in the pictures, but the text says that there are two of them. The tom mount is positioned for a dual tom configuration. The number of drums makes a significant difference in value for the money. That looks like the "New Mahogany"--not koa--wrap.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

No need for Cleveland arm. This is a Fullerton set from 72-74. Original parts not in picture will run about $200, so factor that into the equation if he does not have them hiding in the garage

In pictures condition, not a popular wrap, offer $300. You can find this in better shape on ebay for $500 at times.
