Hello fellow gretsch fans,

I am thinking about buying a 1970s gretsch kit, but am puzzled by the colour. The wrap is black with a silver beading about 2/3s down the shells. Attached a picture showing the wrap - note that this is NOT the kit I'm buying, I've got my mind set on a monster 24/13/18 set-up. Can anyone tell me when drums in this wrap were manufactured, and whether 900 euros (abt 1100 USD) seems a reasonable price? The kit looks in pretty good shape.
