Just picked this up. I'm the third owner. Rare combination of sizes. Apparently it was special ordered from Ludwig in the late 60s. Great condition! I'm not even 100% sure I want to sell it. Just trying to see what the market says it's worth. Thanks!
1969 Ludwig Red Sparkle 22, 12, 14. All original
To clarify, I need to sell it, so the with the right offer I will.
Thanks!
Would you be willing to share the serial numbers? Date stamps? White or clear interiors? Baseball bat or round dial mufflers?
Thanks,
Matt
All clear interiors. Round dial mufflers.
12" is 703303
Floor is 683833
Kick is 668424
Couldn't find a date stamp on the floor but there is an April 1969 stamp on 12" and a June (or July) 1969 date stamp on kick. I actually took note of the serials when I checked this morning, but I'm not near the kit now so I'm going by memory on the stamps.
I've decided to keep this for the meantime. Thanks for the interest
Probably a good idea. I've been there. Seller's remorse is a bad thing :)
If you're gigging with a band, that kit is the perfect gig kit! The smaller floor and rack tom will lighten the load and the sizes are still respectable enough to hold their own in a rock, or a blues band. I'd keep those!
Besides, I'm a sucker for red sparkle/glass!

Dang, I was about to offer you a bazillion dollars!DOH LoLoLoLo
Enjoy 'em!
Yeah, they look great! I think this will be my primary gigging kit. Thanks!
+1 on the sizes. My main kit is six pieces - 10,12,14,16,22BD. 99% of the time I just gig the 12,14 and 22. I do however wish my BD was 14" and not 18" depth.
