1969 BOP Ludwig Super Classic drum set

Loading...

I have a beautiful 1969 Ludwig Super Classic four piece for sale.

Sizes are 14/22, 16/16, 9/13 and comes with the original 5.5 x 14 Supersensitive snare. The snare is in very nice condition with virtually no pitting.

Color is Blue Oyster Pearl and the shells are 3 ply with clear maple interiors. The badges are Keystone. The kit was one owner until I purchased it 10 months ago.

Some very light pitting on the chrome lug casings on each drum, however the chrome is nice and shiny. The bass drum has the original cymbal arm. Bass drum hoops have been re-painted. Factory bearing edges are all good with no damage. New drum heads throughout. Pure Sound snare wires on the Supersensitive.

The original Ludwig rubber practice pad is included along with the original SS drum key. Floor tom legs and bass drum spurs are also included.

The rail consolette is included and in nice condition but not shown in the picture. (Personally I prefer the tom on a snare stand or Rims mount).

The kit is in above average condition with vibrant colors in the factory wrap.

Price: $1400.00.

Shipping can be arranged. My Postal Code is R2Y 1M4 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada so you can get an idea of shipping cost on your own. I would think at least two boxes of which one would be for the snare by itself.

I will post pictures later. Thank you.

I will have to check when I get home. The serial numbers and the information from the original owner is how I know they were made in 1969. Are you looking for a specific month?

The kit sold locally to a pro drummer who had his 1960's Ludwig Club Date red sparkle bass drum and floor tom stolen out of his vehicle along with his hardware and cymbals. Glad to see them go to someone who will gig them and record with the kit. :)

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Hi Anders... the chaps name is Emmet and he still has the rack tom from his Club Date kit. Really sad bit of business to have your gear stolen.

That's cool your Dad is a musician, nice to have another musician in the family. :)

Cheers..Barry
