1967 Slingerland set

Loading...

I am going to purchase my first classic set of drums, a 1967 Slingerland, 22, 16, 13.

It took years but it finally happened.

The badges look good and hardware is original. (Thanks to this web site) but I was thrown off by the texture of the Green Satin Flame wrap.

It wasn't glossy. It had a strange finely ribbed texture to it.

Can someone let me know if this is original material or an added wrap.

Satin flame wraps do have a texture to them. That ribbing is part of what gives them the shimmery pseudo-flame kinda look.
