I`ve been looking for my 1967 Rogers drum catalogue for years and finally found it.I know the catalogues are fairly common and expensive, but inside mine was the complete price list of everything in the catalogue in Canadian $-a wealth of price information here.My question is are these price lists rare or common in Canadian $ and also in USD.Thanks in advance to any of the drum catalogue collector experts on the forum.

I've never seen a price list for catalog that early. No doubt they were around in both currencies at that time, but issued to franchised dealers only. So you must have a store issue catalog and price list.

I had mailed away for a Rogers catalog in that time period and received the '67-68 version with Buddy and Louie on the back cover - split photo so to speak. My recollection was it cost $2. Along with all the other catalogs I mailed away for in those days, they all go ditched at some point later in the high school years or maybe when I went off to college. I've forgotten exactly what I did with them, but that is what I'm assuming. I had moved on to cars and girls I think. :)

Currently I have another copy of that catalog, a Gretch from a bit earlier period, a Camco, a Slingerland and a Ludwig, all of which are around '65/66. The Rogers was the most expensive at $75 about 5 years ago and the others closer to $35 or $40 each.

PS - The Slingerland came with the mailing envelope, exactly as I recall them in the day. I did have a Rogers price list from around 1970 and that catalog, as well. My have sent it over to the Drum Farm, but not sure at the moment.

Hi Blair, thanks for getting back on this question of mine.Yes it`s the one with Buddy and Louie on the back cover. It`s not in the best of shape, but it was the price list that was inside that i was more curious about.May have been a dealer franchise issue that i have? Really neat to see what the prices were for everything in the catalogue at that time.Hope you`re enjoying your new Dyna hang tag,can hardly wait to get mine.

Thanks for this great info Dan and for letting me know this.It makes total sense that this may be a dealer`s franchise catalog with the price list included as i got this when i bought my Rogers set in 67`.Very cool that you collected them way back in the day but i understand how things get lost esp.when girls and cars come into play, lol.Great that you have those wonderful recollected catalogs today as there is such a wealth of info in them!

Unfortunately my 67`-68` Rogers catalog isn`t in the best of shape but the price list is in great condition and has a pic of Louie playing on the front cover.Couldn`t get these front and back covers to scan very well but this is what i have. Thanks again Dan.

That's very cool! Assuming the catalogs were the same back then for US and Canadian consumption, what were they asking for the Citadel configuration in CD at that time?

Dan,without cymbals they were asking $889.50 in Can.funds for the Citadel set. That`s 47 yrs. ago and alot of doe,but at that time you were buying the cadillac of drums and would cost you $250.00- $300.00 more than the other brands.Hope you`ve got that configuration?
