Welcome.Your Rogers kit(s) looks awesome! :)Not one, but TWO original one owner kits. If the majority of the drums have been stored since 1969, I bet there is zero fade to the wrap. To top it off, the wrap is Champagne Sparkle! It's one of the current top dollar wrap colors. Be careful with leaving the drums in a heated environment or in the sun. I've heard old wrap can crack/split due to temperature changes and we wouldn't want that to happen to your drums.Thanks for sharing.-Tim
Hi Tim-thanks for your comments.The wrap on these has darkened to a golden/orange which i understand is a normal patina that happens with this colour over time.However two of the toms that saw limited use look like they just came out of the factory(two on the right facing the kit).Thanks for the advice about temps and the sun.Two out of the eight have wrap splits-small one on a bass and longer one on a tom.But on a kit this size i`m just lucky to still have them in the condition they are, even with the two wrap issues.Thanks again Tim.

Welcome!!! What a way to jump into the forum. As you have probably already noticed, we're vintage drum voyeurs here, and you sure gave us some eye candy. I especially appreciate your set as I too have my original 10-piece Rogers set in pristine condition.
Interesting that your Dayton bass has only a cymbal mount and no tom mount. Did you custom order it this way? I like the four 13"s. I believe both Keith Moon and Neil Smith favored mulitple, one-size toms on their double bass sets also. Thanks for sharing.
67-69, so theyre dayton and fullerton? mine are. my kick drum and powertone snare are dayton and my toms are fullerton.
No kookadams-4 are Cleveland and 4 are Dayton and i know you love yours as much as i love mine.So i`ve got one Cleveland kit and one Dayton kit together as one.

I`d love to see your 10 pc. Rogers kit and do you have them posted on here and what year are they? I`m sure you do and i`ll try to hunt them up.Seeing as i`m new here i really don`t know what i`m doing but just happy to be a part of it all!
That IS a tom mount on that Dayton bass and not a cymbal mount because i`m a lefty and yes i did custom order it that way.You`re right about Keith Moon and Neil Smith having favored multiple toms on their double bass kits.Think it was the fashion of that era and Ginger Baker had the same configuration and many others as well.We`re both very fortunate to have kits of this size still intact.Please let me know how i can see your kit and sorry for the long winded message here.Take care Mike.
